The Cannon XPP is Luzz's take on the full-foam power paddle. The core is a modified foam Luzz calls XPOP, chosen for rebound, and the face is carbon fiber with green silicon carbide grit for bite that is supposed to outlast a raw carbon surface.
Two things I'm testing. One: a lab swing weight near 123 is heavy for a $179 paddle, so the question is whether the plow-through is worth the hands-speed cost. Two: whether that green grit still grabs the ball after a few weeks of drives. It's in my bag now. No score until I've played it enough to defend one.
