Did RPM Just Write the Best Warranty in Pickleball?

Every Jade just got a lot more coverage, including the ones already sold. Here's what changed, and the catch.

By Nico · Nov 5, 2026 · 2 min read

One RPM Jade paddle, a plus sign, then three more RPM Jade paddles fanned out: one paddle, three warranty claims

When I scored the Jade a 9.4, the warranty was the one line I couldn't get excited about. One claim per paddle, grit smoothing not covered, and $269.99 on the sticker. The durable grit was resting on RPM's word.

RPM just put a lot more behind that word.

What changed

Per RPM's warranty page, checked today:

  • Three claims per Jade, for the life of the paddle. Up from one.
  • It's retroactive. Every Jade already sold gets three. If you already used one, you have two left.
  • The replacement ships first. Once a claim is approved, RPM sends the new paddle without waiting for your old one. RPM says it may still ask you to send the original back.
  • The bar is lower. RPM's wording: email them if it's "clearly a defect" or "just isn't playing the way it should." Every claim is approved at RPM's discretion.

How to file a claim

  1. 1

    Find your receipt

Your rpmpb.com order number, or the receipt from an authorized retailer. Secondhand paddles don't qualify.

  2. 2

    Shoot the problem

A photo or short video that clearly shows what's wrong. A dead spot, a crack, a paddle that suddenly plays wrong: get it on camera.

  3. 3

    Email RPM

Send your name, proof of purchase, the photos, and a line on what's wrong. Write "defect" for a warranty claim, or "return" if it just isn't playing right.

    warranty@rpmpb.com

  4. 4

    Keep playing

RPM says it reviews claims in 3 to 5 business days. If it's approved, the new Jade ships right away, before you mail anything back.

From RPM's warranty page. Every claim is approved at RPM's discretion, and RPM may still ask for the old paddle back.

The fine print

Grit smoothing is still listed under normal wear, so a face that goes slick over a season isn't automatically covered. The "isn't playing the way it should" line gives you room to ask. It doesn't promise a yes.

Also worth knowing:

  • Buy from rpmpb.com or an authorized retailer. eBay, Facebook groups and Craigslist paddles aren't covered.
  • Original owner only. It doesn't transfer if you sell it.
  • A replacement is the same model, color and size, and it keeps the original paddle's remaining claims. It doesn't start a fresh three.
  • Full coverage is for U.S. and Canadian orders. International is case by case.

What it means if you're shopping

The price was my biggest knock on the Jade. Three claims doesn't make it cheaper, but it changes what you're paying for. Before, one bad paddle used up your only claim and left you without a paddle while it was in the mail. Now you get three tries, and you keep playing while RPM sorts it out.

If grit wear was what kept you off the Jade, RPM just answered most of it in writing.

Code NICOTHELEFTY takes it to $229.50 at RPM. My full take is in the RPM Jade review.
