About Proton

Proton started as a softball bat company in 2021. Founder Charles Darling spent his career as an aerospace and defense executive, picked up pickleball in late 2022, and Proton Pickleball followed in 2024.

The paddles lean on that background: carbon fiber built with aerospace composite engineers, plus a Nanotac spin coating. In June 2024 Proton became the founding and exclusive paddle partner of AZ Drive, Arizona's Major League Pickleball team.
