About RPM
RPM is James Ignatowich's paddle company, which made him the first established pro to build a brand from scratch. After three years as a Selkirk pro, he went through about 40 prototypes in a year before the Friction Pro launched in September 2025.
Ignatowich is CEO and lead engineer. Marwan Abaza, who played Division I tennis at Bucknell, is president and runs R&D. RPM stands for revolutions per minute, which tells you what they care about.
